FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What should my child wear/bring to camp?

A: Gym clothes, Gym shoes, typical basketball gear and water bottle. Players are encouraged to take as many water breads as needed throughout each session. Please pack your water bottle. Please hydrate before and after each camp day

Q: How are the players grouped?

A; Boys and Girls are typically grouped together in one of three or four categories by age, grade and skill level

  • 5-6 year olds - Little Hoopsters
  • 7-8 year olds - NIT Division
  • 9-10 year olds - NCAA Division
  • 11-14 year olds - NBA Division/East and West

Q: How many girls attend a typical camp session?

A: Approximately 25-30% - Multiple Girls are placed on each team and station teaching groups. Many of our coaches and counselors are female

Q: What should I do about lunch?

A: Due to current CDC recommended guidelines, please pack your own lunch and water bottle.

Q: When can I drop my child off and do you provide after care?

A: Children may be dropped off no earlier than 8:30am for all events. Because we do not provide after care, we ask for prompt pickup at 3:00pm during Winter sessions and Special Events, and 4:00pm for Summer weeklong daycamp sessions.

Q: What time does camp end?

A: Camp ends at 4pm each day during all Summer sessions. Camp ends at 3pm each day for all Fall, Winter and Spring sessions

Q: What is Rising Stars refund policy?

A: Rising Stars Basketball Camps does not issue refunds for payment on Basketball Camps or Clinics due to counselor fees, church activity and gym rental fees, camper insurance, credit card processing fees, and product all paid for during initial registration process. If you find that you cannot attend a camp or clinic that you have paid for - you must contact Rising Stars Basketball Camps by email prior to the first day of the camp or clinic you are scheduled to attend. You may potentially receive a credit that will be good to use on another Rising Stars Basketball Event. The credit will be for the amount you paid minus a fifty dollar administrative fee. If you do not contact us by email prior to the first day of the camp or clinic, you will not receive any credit.
